Summer School at LUMS

Terms and Conditions

LUMS is committed to providing a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment. These policies uphold the programme's integrity and effective functioning. Violations may result in disciplinary action, including withdrawal.

General Code of Conduct

  • There is zero tolerance for aggressive or inappropriate behaviour, such as harassment, stalking, bullying, and ragging, and such behaviour will result in immediate expulsion.

  • LUMS is committed to a safe learning environment and reserves the right to take decisive action against breaches.

  • Students must behave respectfully at all times.

Campus Access & Parking

  • Vehicles are allowed only in designated free parking areas.

  • Parking on internal roads, pedestrian pathways, or crossings is prohibited.

  • Repeated violations may lead to fines or denial of entry.

Admissions Policy

  • Admission is at LUMS discretion.

  • Processed on a first-come, first-served basis.

  • No enrollments will be accepted once seats are full.

Attendance & Certification

  • A minimum of 80% attendance and completion of graded work are required for the certificate.

  • Attendance is recorded in the first 10 minutes of class.

  • Proxy attendance is prohibited.

  • CES may withhold certificates if the requirements are not met.

  • Certificates must be collected within one month after the session ends.

  • PKR 5,000 fee for name changes or reprints.

Smart Card Policy

  • Students receive a smart card for campus access.

  • PKR 3,000 fee for lost or damaged cards.

  • Misuse may lead to disciplinary action.

  • Cards must be returned in the final class, or certificate/access may be withheld.

  • Lost cards must be reported immediately to the Vigilance Office, or details must be shared at ces@lums.edu.pk or summerschool@lums.edu.pk.

Refund Policy

  • The session fee is non-refundable.

  • Refunds are provided only for CES cancellations or exceptional circumstances, with a 15% processing fee.

Accommodation Policy

  • Students must check in personally on the assigned date and time.

  • Charges will apply for any damage to campus or hostel property.

  • No guests in dormitories.

  • No campus leave without prior CES approval.

  • Smoking or the use of prohibited substances leads to immediate expulsion.

  • Rooms must be locked when unattended; LUMS is not responsible for theft.

  • Curfew at 11:00 PM applies to residential students. 

  • Housing is not provided to Young Learners.

  • Family visits are allowed during designated hours.

Disciplinary Action

  • Students must comply with policies and standards.

  • Serious misconduct may result in immediate withdrawal.

  • Parents must arrange early departure and cover costs.

  • Withdrawal decisions are final and not normally open to appeal.
